About St. Croix

Situated a thousand miles east of Miami and only 18 degrees north of the equator is America's own Caribbean paradise - the U.S. Virgin Islands. The U.S. Virgin Islands belong to the Lesser Antilles chain, which divides the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea. St. Croix is separated from St. John and St. Thomas by an ocean trench that drops more than 12,000 feet to the sea floor.
