The world’s fastest vehicle, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, interestingly loses its hold on tight the most costly car title by a margin. It seems cost and rate do not always go hand-in-hand.

At $3.9 million, the new Lamborghini Veneno that has been introduced during the Geneva Motor Show tops record. It's therefore high priced that Lamborghini only built three examples of the vehicle — all three of which sold prior to the automaker officially revealed its futuristic appearance.

The first Middle Eastern supercar, the Lykan Hypersport from W Motors, makes its way into 2nd place on record. With a $3.4 million price, this automobile makes its value understood not just in energy, but also with its look, offering diamond-crusted LED headlights.

Finally, in 3rd place, the indegent Bugatti Veyron Super Sport happens to be ousted. It seems $2.4 million is a near bargain, considering the sheer rate this French supercar packages.
